APEC Junior Forum “International Exchange Class” (at Meirin Junior High School)
At Fukui municipal Meirin Junior High School, one of the participant schools in “APEC Junior Forum” (in charge of China, Chinese Hong Kong, and Papua New Guinea), an international exchange class was held with Wang, a Chinese exchange student living in Fukui, as a lecturer.
Using slides made by himself, Wang introduced the outline of China (historical figures, local province, currency). And as an example of China’s energy circumstances, he reported the fact that China ranks the second in the world to the Unite States in energy consumption and CO2 emission.
Students of Meirin Junior High School asked him questions about how to decrease the dependency on coal and what foreign product can often be seen in China.
