APEC Junior Forum “International Exchange Class” (at Kamijo Junior High School)
At Ono municipal Kamijo Junior High School, one of the participant schools in “APEC Junior Forum” (in charge of Korea and Brunei), an international exchange class was held with Cho, a Korean exchange student living in Fukui, as a lecturer.
Using slides made by himself, Cho introduced the outline of Korea (traditional way of life and musical instruments, customs and more). He also explained that as energy circumstances in Korea, it largely depends on the import, especially oil, and has just started wind power generation, as well as increased the proportion of nuclear power generation.
Students of Kamijo Junior High School asked him questions about energy conservation and eco activities in Korea.

*Though Korea has yet to implement governmental measures for energy conservation, development of wind power and photovoltaic generation has been conducted mainly by businesses.
*Korean traditional musical instruments “Chango (drum)” and “Kengari (gong) and plays
