APEC Junior Forum “International Exchange Class” (at Takefu-daini Junior High School)

  At Echizen municipal Takefu-daini Junior High School, one of the participant schools in “APEC Junior Forum” (in charge of America and New Zealand), an international exchange class was held with John, an American exchange student living in Fukui, as a lecturer.
  Using slides made by himself, John expressed his idea that since the Unite Stats are automobile society and consumes energy most in the field of transportation, reconsidering the use of automobiles could lead to energy conservation.
  Students of Takefu-daini Junior High School asked him questions about eco acitivities in the Unite States. John also asked them what they had learned from the preliminary learning for the Junior Forum.

Explanation of energy composition in the United States (oil, coal, natural gas, and others) and the importance of recyclable (natural) energy
*The United States promotes the use of natural energy such as wind power and photovoltaic in order to reduce CO2 emission, adding nuclear power station construction since Obama assumed the presidency.
*American songs (to remember the names of the States), game
