It also has “Prefectural Dinosaur Museum”, one of the three top dinosaur museums in the world, “Eiheiji- temple”, one of the Soto Zen’s head temples, “Tojinbo”, the scenic beauty, and other sights to see. Furthermore, Fukui is blessed with history and culture, producing numerous individuals such as Matsudaira Syungoku, who led the period from the last days of the Tokugawa Shogunate to the early Meiji Era.
On the other hand, fifteen nuclear power plants are located in Fukui Prefecture, and they have contributed to the national energy policy and prevention of global warming for years. It is of great significance that “Japan APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting”, in which energy policies in the future will be discussed, will be held in Fukui, where people are enjoying the well-heeled life and creating the leading-edge energy research and exploitation. Furthermore, during the period of the Ministerial Meeting, a number of newspersons and administration officials from twenty-one countries and regions will come to Fukui, so it must be a prodigious opportunity to distribute Fukui information to the world such as tourist spots, Fukui food, and culture brand goods.
