About the Holding of the 3rd Fukui Cool Earth Technical Seminar
Fukui Prefecture promotes “Next-Generation Energy Industrialization Project”, which tackles the tasks of development and research on clean and stable source of energy without CO2 emission and aims at commercialization and industrialization of the energy.
We would like to announce that this time, as part of enlightenment and promotion activities for this project, a technical seminar related to “organic solar cell” which attracts attention as a new generation solar cell will be held.

Theme: “Organic Solar Cell in Advanced Stage”
We have chosen “organic solar cell” which attracts attention as a new-generation solar cell with specialties such as drastic cost reduction compared to silicon solar cells and will introduce and expound the development trends and market situations.
*This seminar will be held jointly with “Local Science and Technology Forum”, in which Japan Science and Technology Agency promotes study activity on issues leading to local innovation in the future with industry-academia-government collaboration.
In addition, it will also be held as a supporting event for Japan APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting to be held in Fukui in June in 2010.
