About Commemorative Ceremony for 400,000 Visitors to Dinosaur Museum in the Fiscal 21st Year of the Heisei Era
We would like to announce that a ceremony commemorating the outlook that this fiscal year will see 400,000 visitors, the record highest (except for the 12th year of the Heisei era, when the Dinosaur Expo was held) will be held as follows.

February 20th (Sat) 2010, around 10:30 am
*The starting time will be changed due to the number of the visitors on the day.

At the entrance of Dinosaur Museum (3F)

(1) Flowers and Commemorative gift presentation to the 400,000th visitor
(2) Dinosaur’s footprint fossil for walking trial (replica)* debut
Place: special exhibition room (3F)
Period: February 20th (Sat) 2010 to 28th (Sun)

Dinosaur’s footprint fossil guidance by the museum’s researchers will be scheduled on the dates below.

* Dinosaur’s footprint fossil for walking trial (replica)
The full-scale replica of a fossil layer with a lot of dinosaurs’ footprints discovered at the excavation site in Kitadani cho, Katsuyama City, in 2008 (5.6m*1.8m)
This replica is produced for visitors to try walking on it and supposed to be utilized on occasions such as outside PR events. Production cost: 3,360 thousand yen
In addition, “Doctor Dino’s Dino Card” (collaborated by SEGA Corporation) is presented to junior high school student visitors and under, as a commemorative gift, one for each until given out.
