I would like to thank all the people who came today to participate in the g23rd National Flower Town Planning Competition in Fukuih. In Fukui prefecture,We promote "civil movement of green and the flower" with the 60th National Tree Festival held in 2009 and push forward the making hometown full of green and flower. Next year,hThe 73th National Sports Festival & The 18th National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities Bureauh is held in Fukui prefecture. We are implementing a project called gFlowers along the Wayh. Through this project, we will grow flowers along roads that lead up to the eventfs venue and tourist site.
This competition is held to increase your activity of flower mutually.I am glad the competition is held in Fukui for the first time, with the movement gcivil movement of green and the flowerh is rising. We decorated the central site of Fukui city with colorful flowers, for example the flower carpet designed by local high school student. To decorate here,we coraborated with the group of production of flowers or circulation,education. Additionally, a lecture is held by the flower arrangement expert , arranging flowers into a vase of Echizen pottery.Echizen pottery is one of the traditional crafts represents Fukui; it is one of the Six Old Kilns and has been designated as a Japan Heritage.
There is a plan of bus tour visiting tourist spots such as Eiheiji Temple and the Five Lakes of Mikata, and the open gardens as they are in season. It is essential to promote civil movement of green and the flower in various locations in Fukui,from familier scenery to grand landscape. In nature,there are many flowers throughout the year;Daffodils bloom around New year,and Spring is the best season for plum,cherry blossoms,and dogtooth violet,creeping phlox.In summer,hydrangeas,lotus,and lily are beautiful,after that,in autumn, chrysanthemums and the white buckwheat flower also bloom.
In my home garden, the flower of leek is now in bloom. I believe that each of us must promote creating floral scenery with originality. Furthermore, in Fukui Prefecture, we have wonderful food that has been blessed with nature. Today and tomorrow,right here, you will be able to try gTriple Star Wakasa Beefh as well as gFukui Salmonh,these are Fukui produced high quality food. Additionally, you can enjoy gICHIHOMAREh,that is Fukuifs new brand of rice and its name was just decided in April of this year. Ifd like you to thoroughly taste many other foods produced in Fukui. Last but not least, I would like to sincerely thank everyone here that made this event possible, and I hope that those that participated in the event today would continue to blossom. Thank you. |
