このページは、平成２７年１０月５日（月）に福井市で行われた、ＩＡＥＡ技術会合レセプションでの知事あいさつをまとめたものです。

Good evening, everyone.
To start the reception party, please let me give a few words of welcome to you all. 

Vice-Governor has already spoken to you in today’s meeting about the relation between Fukui Prefecture and nuclear energy, so I would now like to change topics and talk about the food of Fukui.

Fukui Prefecture is abundant with nature; the sea, mountains, and farmlands bless us with a variety of food.
That is why Fukui is called a “Treasure land of food” in Japan.

In addition, Fukui Prefecture is known as the birthplace of “Shojin-Ryori”, a famous vegetarian cuisine originally derived from the dietary restrictions of Buddhist monks.

Fukui Prefecture will showcase “Shojin Ryori” at EXPO Milano 2015 beginning on the 24^th of October.
Through this event, we hope to raise awareness of Fukui’s distinguished food culture.
Please stop by if you happen to be in attendance at the expo.

If you join the Fukui excursion on October 9th, you will have a chance to try “Shojin Ryori” for lunch.

Today you have a great opportunity to try some dishes using the season’s best ingredients produced in Fukui as well as local Sake if you like.
I hope you enjoy the food this evening.

In closing, I sincerely hope that the relationship between the participating countries, the IAEA, and Fukui Prefecture will be strengthened by this meeting and continue to grow.

　皆様、こんばんは。レセプションの開催にあたり、一言ご挨拶を申し上げます。
　福井県と原子力発電の関わりについては、杉本副知事が日中の会議でお話ししましたので、福井県の「食」についてお話しします。

　福井県は、豊かな自然が生み出す海・山・里の食材に恵まれ、全国でも有数の「食の宝庫」と言われる場所です。

　また、福井県は精進料理のふるさととしても知られています。
　精進料理とは、肉類を使用せず調理された有名な料理で、元は仏教の戒律に基づき、僧侶のために作られました。

　今月２４日からはミラノ国際博覧会に出展し、精進料理を披露し「食の國福井」をアピールします。お近くにお越しの際は、是非お立ち寄りください。

　9日に開催するエクスカーションに参加される皆様には、ランチで精進料理をお楽しみいただけるかと思います。

　本日は、福井県産の旬の食材を使った料理や、地酒をご用意いたしましたので、ゆっくりご賞味いただきたいと思います。

　最後に、福井県とＩＡＥＡおよび本会合への参加国との連携、交流促進をご祈念しまして、ご挨拶といたします。
